Dr. Peri Chinoda
Dr. Peri Chinoda was born in Zimbabwe, a country in southern Africa. The date of birth is unknown but he goes by a given birth-date, August 24, 1947. He raised 6 children and resides in Spring Hill, TN with his wife, Velma Oden-Chinoda.
He received his Associate Degree in Theology and Biblical Studies from Epworth Theological College in Africa. He received his B.A. Degree from Scarritt College and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
Pastor Chinoda was ordained into the ministry in 1971 and served as Director of Christian Education in Zimbabwe. He served as the Pastor of Beech Grove and Wesley Chapel churches in College Grove and Spring Hill, TN from 1976-1982 and 1999 –2005.
After many years of teaching AP World History , Dr. Chinoda retired from Hume Fogg Magnet High School in Nashville, TN. He is the author of several published Social Studies books used in schools and colleges in Africa and his current book about his life entitled Moodie’s Boy: Growing Up in Africa.
Minister Mike Williams
Minister Williams is from Bristol, Tennessee. While there he worked for the Special Education Department for the Bristol Tennessee City Schools for 23 years. He is currently employed by the Maury County Public School District in the same capacity and has been since moving to Middle Tennessee in 2016. He holds a B.A. in Christian Studies and a Masters of Special Education.
Minister Williams has served as Assistant Minister and Pastor of College Avenue Christian Church in Bristol. He has been in the ministry since October 15, 1995. Minister Williams is married to Sharon Williams and the couple has one son, Evan.
